Classification and Applications of Water-Soluble Film
Cold Water Soluble Film
Dissolution typically occurs within a temperature range of 5–25°C. This film dissolves rapidly in regular tap water at room temperature and is primarily used in cold-water applications such as agrochemical packaging, detergent products, concrete additives, dyes, pigments, and embroidery backing.
Warm Water Soluble Film
With a dissolution range generally between 40–65°C, this film requires a specific water temperature to activate dissolution. Key applications include medical laundry bags and pet waste collection bags.
Hot Water Soluble Film
Dissolution occurs at 70–95°C or higher. This film is mainly used in specialized industrial processes such as marble mold release and prosthetic manufacturing.
